Our Specialist Pilates Instructor - Lucy Hughes
After overcoming her own back pain through a 6-week NHS Pilates course, Lucy grew passionate about sharing Pilates with others. She left a leading strategy role to qualify as a Level 3 Matwork and Reformer Pilates teacher.
Since then, she's helped patients improve movement and wellbeing, drawing on her own experience of finding strength and reduced pain through Pilates.
Approach and Expertise Injury Rehabilitation: Pilates is a safe and structured way to build strength, improve movement quality and function, complementing treatments.
Preventative Health: Pilates strengthens the body in a balanced, sustainable way and supports everyday activities, including sports and hobbies, while aiding in relief from Joint And Muscle pain

The Process
How someone coming to join a pilates Basingstoke or would go about the process, From initial first contact to turning up to the class, what to wear, what normally happens, etc.
Booking
Booking a 1:1 Initial consultation and Health screening with Robert Green, who will diagnose and advise on appropriate rehab to be integrated into pilates.
First Session
First session with Lucy: discuss the patient's objectives and set goals. The first session will introduce the fundamentals of pilates and how it will support your individual requirements and abilities.
What To Wear
Please wear comfortable, relatively close-fitting clothes.
Equipment
All equipment provided.
